Live 1v1 on video

Jubilee style debate, with you in the chair.

Debatable matches you with a stranger who disagrees with you for a live video debate, judged by AI. The part people watch Surrounded for is the moment one person has to defend a claim against someone who came to take it apart. Here you are that person.

Surrounded debate at home

The show's format is one person against twenty. Debatable does not do that; it is one person against one, on purpose, so a round is a real exchange instead of a queue of challengers. What it keeps is the pressure. The other person is on camera, took the opposite side on purpose, and has a clock running. You cannot talk over them for ten minutes and call it a win, because the judge reads the whole transcript and scores responsiveness.

If you want the room, people can watch live, comment, suggest topics, and vote on who moved them. The vote is shown after the decision so it cannot steer it.

Middle Ground debate online

Middle Ground is slower: two sides who disagree talk until they find where they actually split. The closest thing here is a conversation round. No timed speeches, one agreed question, and two people talking it through on camera. The judge reads the whole exchange at the end and writes a decision that names the point where it turned. If you would rather have structure, the room also offers timed turns, chosen together before you start.

Why a judge changes the show

It is not decided by volume.

The judge scores reasoning, responsiveness, and weighing against a rubric published before the round. Being louder or more confident does not score.

You get the reasons.

The decision is written, names who won, and says which argument decided it. Both sides are scored. A human appeal path exists.

It goes on your record.

Rated rounds move your rating and your place on the leaderboard. Win against someone rated higher and it moves more.

Replays are consent-only.

Nothing is recorded unless everyone in the room says yes. A recorded round goes to Watch with the decision above it.

Questions people ask

Is Debatable connected to Jubilee?

No. Surrounded and Middle Ground are Jubilee Media's YouTube shows. Debatable has no connection to Jubilee. This page exists because people who watch those shows ask how to do something like it themselves.

Can I do a Surrounded style debate at home?

Not twenty against one. Debatable is one against one: you are matched with a stranger who disagrees, you argue on video against a clock, and an AI judge writes a decision. Spectators can watch live and vote on who persuaded them.

Can I do a Middle Ground style conversation online?

The closest thing is a conversation round: no timed speeches, one agreed question, two people who disagree talking it through on camera, with the judge reading the whole exchange at the end.

Do rounds get recorded?

Only if everyone in the room agrees. A recorded round lands on Watch as a replay with the judge's decision above it.

Is it free?

Live rounds with people are free after you sign in with Google, Apple, or email. Paid plans start at $10 a year and are for AI practice, not for debating a person. Pricing.

Stop watching other people do it.
